Why Does Your Marvelous Mind Need Intuition?

When was the last time you felt completely clear on your path or journey? Do you always feel happy, grateful and at peace with your situation? How about dreams and wishes that have been left simmering on the backburner for years?

 

How does mindset have anything to do with our wellness or living in freedom? Much less our intuition?

 

Mindsets are the assumptions you hold about yourself, your life and the situations around you. Research shows that mindsets play a significant role in determining your health, stress levels and resiliency to life’s challenges. Learning to identify and change negative thought patterns can help you feel more in control, calmer and happier.

 

Fix Your Mindset.  Studies have shown we have over 60,000 thoughts per day and up to 90% are negative. This creates habitual overwhelm.  It’s what our mind does automatically, and we can’t take these thoughts seriously. 

 

People with a good mindset are generally optimistic about the world around them and tend to believe that good things will happen to them. They also take the time to appreciate the things that are going well in their lives, and they are able to let go of the things that don’t go their way. People with a good mindset are more likely to be resilient, meaning that they can deal effectively with stress and other difficult emotions. They are more willing to try new approaches to challenging situations, and they can be more tolerant of their own flaws. They also have a more positive attitude toward stress, viewing it as something that is a natural part of life and a part of the human experience.

 

How do you flip to a good mindset? 

Embracing Decision. Your decision to be open to seeing life from a different angle. We automatically love to make things complicated.  Simplicity makes things easy. When we lower the expectations of ourselves and others it lessens stress levels. Everything starts with our decision, which is why decision making is such a highly complex activity. Since we cannot do more than one thing at a time, it’s better to focus on one task at a time and complete it.  Once we make a decision, our brain goes to work in helping us achieve what we are trying to accomplish. Life becomes overly complicated when we over think.  Our mind can also talk us out of so many things, before we can even consider them. 

 

Also aiding us are our other brains, our heart and our gut brains. Our mind brain provides cognitive intelligence, our heart brain provides emotional intelligence, and our gut brain can be where we feel our truth, our intuition. 

Listening to your inner guidance will help you in knowing you are making the right decision.  That feeling you get in your gut, that’s your inner guidance or that little voice in your head.  Being aware of it and following it.

 

Listen and trust yourself and your inner guidance.

How many times have you done something and realized later it was not a good idea?  Or you leave the house late, running behind only to discover if you had been on time, you would have been in the car accident you came upon?

Intuitive feelings also show up in less dramatic life circumstances, such as deciding what to buy a friend for their birthday or which route to take to work. These instincts may seem random and inexplicable, but they are a part of your subconscious mind that recognizes patterns from your experiences.

You can increase your intuition by tuning into what’s going on inside of you. Start by keeping an intuition journal where you write down any hunches that come to you. Then, look back over the entries and determine how accurate they were. By doing this, you’ll begin to understand how your intuition works and when it is a good idea to trust it.
